LOCAL PARKS

  • Art Park - Ironwood, MI:

    • Located across from the Historic Ironwood Theatre and Downtown Art Place, the Art Park features outdoor public art displays, seating areas, and occasionally hosts musical performances.

  • Bluff Valley Park - Bessemer, MI

    • ​Bluff Valley Park offers a pavilion with restrooms and kitchen facilities for rental, basketball courts, a children’s playground, and open spaces for outdoor activities. A walking path connects to wooded trails that lead to a bluff overlooking the city.

  • ​​Erwin Heritage Park - Ironwood, MI 

    • Erwin Heritage Park features the Ahti Nurmela Trail, a self-guided history walk showcasing historic farm implements and a Finnish sauna. The park includes a playground, pickleball court, benches, and picnic tables, with paved, stroller- and wheelchair-accessible paths. Open sunrise to sunset, weather permitting.

  • Gile Park - Gile, WI 

    • Gile Park sits along the Gile Flowage and offers a small beach, playground, pavilion, and restrooms, making it a great spot for family outings and water activities.

  • Ironwood City Square - Ironwood, MI 

    • ​Ironwood City Square is a public park in downtown Ironwood featuring landscaping, outdoor seating, an amphitheater, spots for food trucks, and a splash pad.

  • ​Longyear Park - Ironwood, MI 

    • ​Longyear Park offers playgrounds, basketball hoops, and a walking trail for visitors to enjoy. ​​​​

  • Norrie Park - Ironwood, MI 

    • Originally built as a Civilian Conservation Corps camp, Norrie Park is now a popular spot for outdoor activities. It offers hiking and biking trails, community gardens, a river walk along the Montreal River, a playground, pavilion, picnic tables and grills, and a 9-hole disc golf course.

  • Pocket Park - Ironwood, MI

    • ​A small green space located in downtown Ironwood, ideal for sitting, relaxing, and enjoying the outdoors.​

​

  • Ramsay Memorial Park - Ramsay, MI 

    • Ramsay Memorial Park features a playground, tennis courts, a basketball/pickleball court with lighting, a pavilion, and picnic areas. The park also includes a historic army tank, a stone cooking chimney built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, and the Keystone Bridge.​​
